Office of Academic Quality and Excellence Celebrates the Inaugural IBA-SCALE Cohort

The Office of Academic Quality and Excellence (AQE) hosted a recognition ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the one-year tenure of the inaugural Student Council for Academic Learning and Enhancement (SCALE) cohort.

The event brought together the inaugural cohort to reflect on their experiences and recognise their contributions over the past year. Members appreciated the opportunity to serve as student representatives and acknowledged IBA's efforts in creating a platform that encourages meaningful student participation in institutional quality enhancement and academic decision making. They also recommended increasing awareness of IBA-SCALE across the student community to encourage greater participation and attract a wider pool of applicants in future cohorts.

During their tenure, the council members served as an important bridge between students and AQE Office. They actively participated in academic quality review activities, gathered feedback from students in their respective programmes, highlighted emerging academic concerns and areas for improvement, and shared valuable insights with IBA leadership.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields in recognition of the members' dedication, active participation, and valuable contributions during their one-year tenure.

AQE Office looks forward to welcoming future cohorts of SCALE members as the council continues to strengthen student engagement in academic quality and excellence at IBA.
